The Tall Ships is always an amazing event, and the boats beautiful. They will be here this weekend, filling our harbour and our waterfront – not just with ships, but with tourists and locals.
A few things to keep in mind when you go down to see them:
Parking is limited on the waterfront, especially right now. You will want to make sure to leave extra time to find a place to leave the car, or just skip the car and take a bus or walk in.
The tall ships are open to the public, with viewings from 11 to 4 Saturday through Monday. There is no fee, but you will need to bring ID to board any international ship.
There are a ton of events going on, most of which are free, so head down this weekend and enjoy, or take the ferry across the harbour… a cheap way to get an ocean side view of the ships.
